The DOG™ Goal
Just like a Scrum team, the DOG™ team is established to provide customer value. Empowered by the organization, this self-organizing team is comprised of the skills necessary to deliver product. It is small and efficient – kind of like a terrier, built on trust and honesty, embracing their own identity and camaraderie. Overall, the DOG™ team is part of the CaDoMi™ Ecosystem and works closely with both the CA&T™ and MICE™ teams to increase productivity.

Elements of the DOG™ Team
DOG™ Team Members
This team works together to create product increments. Furthermore, they work in unison to keep each other on task and produce efficient, high-quality work. DOG™ teams have three main roles: the servant leader, the product owner, and the product developers. Essentially, the DOG™ team is a Scrum Team.
The servant leader organizes and keeps the team on track. They protect the team, ensure the framework is being used, facilitate team events, and resolve impediments. Overall, they do whatever it takes to keep the team focused on delivering product increments. Their objective is to maintain a high-performing team.
The product owner is responsible for managing upstream customer-focused, and downstream delivery focused. Moreover, the product owner understands what the customer desires and markets opportunities so that the right product can be built at the right time. They collaborate with the product developers for prioritization and goal setting. The product owner determines the criteria for acceptance and ensures the criteria are met resulting in acceptance of the right product. Overall, the product owner is solely responsible for bringing the product to market providing value for the customer and the organization.
The product developers’ key functions are to plan, test, analyze, and implement. Using the backlog as guidance, the product developers create potentially releasable product increments.
