Agility Metrics Program

The Agility Metrics Program is designed to allow Agile teams to self-evaluate (and have Agile Coaches also evaluate) their events and roles based on easily observable behaviors. The events to be observed include the core Scrum Events of Sprint, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective. For purposes of this Agility Metrics Program, Product Backlog Refinement is also considered an event. The Scrum team roles are Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Developers.

The Program consists of 4 key steps that can be viewed as a funnel:
Measure / Improve / Share / Feedback

By following these key steps in the Program, the Agile teams can move from “Under-Performing” to “Improving” to “High-Performing”. The overall objective for this program is to measure & track team agility…not velocity and with High-Performing teams being the goal. High-Performing teams are focused on the highest amount of outcome with the least amount of output.
