Our Agile Fundamentals (ICP) course is an industry-recognized credential that demonstrates an understanding of the Agile mindset, values, principles, and foundational concepts. Professionals are grounded in what it means to “be Agile while doing Agile” and achieve organizational agility without specific focus on any single Agile methodology or framework (i.e., Scrum, Kanban, XP, DSDM, SAFe, etc.)

None. The course is available for everyone!

It is beneficial to have some knowledge about Agile. It is also expected for you to have familiarity with the “Agile Manifesto” on agilemanifesto.org.

Learning Objectives

Agile Fundamentals (ICP) class contains a good balance of theory and practice. We go through the core of Agile for building working products while learning techniques and practices.

  • Agile History – the thinking behind the Agile Manifesto
  • Culture & Mindset – important characteristics of the Agile mindset for growth
  • Shared Understanding – creating a common shared understanding within a team or project
  • Shifts in Roles – shifting to self-organizing and self-managing for an Agile organization
  • Planning and Adapting – progressive elaboration and estimation
  • Incremental Development – what’s contained in a Product Backlog, decomposition, and User Stories
  • Work-In-Progress – implications of frequent interruptions vs. limiting WIP
  • Process & Product Adaptation – continual improvement and retrospective techniques for emergent and adaptive needs
  • Customers and Users – obsessively involving the users/customers
