This course is designed for all learners of Scrum, whether you are new or seeking a refresher. Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Development Team Members, Stakeholders and Executives – this course is for you!

This course is approved by Scrum Alliance and fulfills the first day for the Certified Scrum Developer Track 2®. Learners will receive a 2 year membership with Scrum Alliance and 8 SEUs (Scrum Education Units). 

Prerequisite

It is beneficial to have some knowledge about Scrum and it is expected for you to have read the “Scrum Guide” on www.scrumguides.org prior to class.

Introduction to Scrum

  • Scrum Overview – the basics, what are the roles
  • User Story – making them valuable
  • Product Backlog – what do we want to do
  • Prioritization – how do we get started, in what order
  • Story Points – estimate with fun
  • Sprint Planning – making team commitment
  • Sprint Backlog – working the team commitment
  • Sprint Burndown – how are we doing
  • Daily Scrum – sharing commitments and impediments
  • Sprint Review – show off / demonstration
  • Retrospective – making improvements

This course is approved by Scrum Alliance and fulfills the first day for the Certified Scrum Developer Track 2®. Learners will receive a 2 year membership with Scrum Alliance and 8 SEUs (Scrum Education Units). 

Virtual Class Information
Preparation
  • You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection.
  • This class will occur completely online using Zoom.
  • Class setup information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your class launches.
  • Each individual class participant must have purchased a ticket

This is a class for beginners and those with some experience of Scrum. No prior knowledge is required.

Credits Earned

This course earns 8 PDUs with PMI (Project Management Institute).

This course earns 8 Scrum Education Units (SEU®) with Scrum Alliance®. SEUs can be used for earning and renewing your CSP®, CEC, and or CST®.
