Description
Whether you’re a designer, a developer, or an entrepreneur who’s looking to get your own company off the ground, knowing how to efficiently lead a team and complete a project is an essential element of success.
In this workshop, you’ll get an introduction to the project management processes that can help maximize your team’s performance. You’ll learn about the major project phases, and gain the tools and resources you’ll need to increase focus and improve your team’s productivity.
Prerequisite
Prior to the workshop, participants will receive a project worksheet. They will need to complete Section 1 of the worksheet, Describe Your Upcoming Project, before the start of class.
Agenda
In this workshop, we’ll:
- How to create a project schedule, budget, and resource plan.
- Learn about the most critical elements of any project.
- How to assess risk and anticipate future problems in the project lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and the project team.
Virtual Class Information
Preparation
- You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection.
- This class will occur completely online using Zoom.
- Class setup information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your class launches.
- Each individual class participant must have purchased a ticket.
Credits Earned
This course earns 3 PDUs with PMI (Project Management Institute).
This course earns 3 Scrum Education Units (SEU®) with Scrum Alliance®. SEUs can be used for earning and renewing your CSP®, CEC, and or CST®.
