Social justice is a top priority for Scrum Adventures. At our core, we are committed to advocating for justice, equality, and well-being for all, so that people of every race, gender, orientation & cultural background may thrive. We respect, appreciate, and celebrate differences as well as those having common values.
In support of our commitment, we are backing up our words with action. We are moving our current business banking needs to a Black-owned bank. #BankBlack We strongly feel that supporting black-owned financial institutions is an impactful way to advance racial equality and economic opportunity thereby leading to social change.
“When people #BankBlack, the result is better circulation of Black dollars with Black businesses, the creation of more jobs for the Black community, more access to affordable home loans, education for urban communities on financial literacy, and, most importantly, the power of the Black dollar is increased.“
~From One United Bank’s website
As stated by
“Black-owned banks should be given a chance to grow and be a strong financial staple in the communities they serve. Also, Black-owned banks are a great option for anyone because they promote economic revitalization. Banking with Black-owned banks helps increase community development and economic development. This is why they need support from everyone.“
We are excited about becoming a member of a black-owned bank.
And as a prospective new member, Scrum Adventures is inviting other firms, especially in the Agile community, to join us in supporting black-owned financial institutions.
Deciding to “bank Black” is not just about choosing where you deposit your money. It is a way to take a stand against inequality in minority communities that lack financial inclusion. And it helps push the social justice movement forward.
It makes sense that as an organization involved in leading organizational Agile transformations, Scrum Adventures seeks opportunities to make a difference by embracing and pushing for change. In this case, it is a change for social justice and equality.
We are proud that each member of our Scrum Adventures team is committed to helping others. We want all people, teams, and organizations to do their best, succeed beyond expectations, and grow to new levels. We believe that by fulfilling others, we are fulfilled.
We welcome you to join us as we work toward social justice to build a better world.
